(By Camillus Farrell - Tues. 17th October 2017)

The Club organised an Open Day event which was well attended. It was great to see so many youths, and some parents, present. Short presentations were given by Gerry, Phil and Camilus in respect of the club and cycling in general.

The different types of bike - road, track and cyclo-cross- were on view. All got the opportunity to try their luck and test their abilities on the Wattbike. Eamon, John and Damien were on hand to assist with this. A big 'thank you' goes to Shauna, who gave a short talk on nutrition and diet, and to Naomi, who compiled the results and kept the computers and screens ticking over. A special word of thanks to our most famous cycling son, Damien Shaw. He gave a little talk on the 'life of a cyclist'. He chatted with all the future cycling stars as well as joining with them for a group photo. Well done all involved.
