The youths have returned to training for the 2018 season with renewed vigour after a well earned break following their exploits in 2017. The Christmas party was well attended on December 20th with 21 members all enjoying the bowling and finger food.

The plan for 2018 is to continue regular turbo sessions with road sessions whenever the weather permits. Underage coach Damien Shaw has initiated a Wattbike programme for those intending to race this year with monthly testing to monitor progress and identify which areas of development need attention. The Wattbike is an invaluable assessment tool and with the clubhouse available for testing there is no doubt that the youths have every opportunity to continue their progress.

The youth mentors have also organised a 10 week Strength and Conditioning programme, bike fitting and riding skills so it appears that the New Year is off to a flying start for the younger Wheelers.
