It was a busy weekend on the racing front with races in Summerhill, Navan and Letterkenny.

In Summerhill on Saturday 1st March we were represented in The A4 race by Aidan Daly, Graham Morgan, Moss Keane and Matt Burke. The bunch of around 70 set off for 43km of a testing circuit with the tough climb of Doreys Forge to be tackled twice. The pace was high from the off with numerous attacks being attempted each lap. They were all brought back in by an eager bunch not willing to let anyone get away. The finish came down to a bunch sprint with the lads finishing inside the top 20. Well done also to Graham Morgan who was competing in his first A4 open Race.

On Sunday 2nd March Alan Nevin, Peter Rimmer and Stuart Cox travelled to Navan in Co Meath to compete in the Cycleways Cup. All the lads put in a strong performance in their respective categories but it was Mullingar Man Damien Shaw riding with the AquaBlue Team who rode to a dominant victory, getting across to a threatening late escape alone and then attacking them for the win. This is a follow up victory for Damien after a dominant win in the Lacey Cup in Tralee Co Kerry last weekend.

Aaron Wade was in Letterkenny Co Donegal for round 1 of the Errigal Youth League. There are four rounds in the League which takes place from March until July. Weather was less than favourable with wind a rain to contend with. Aaron had a good performance in the U14 category. Well done Aaron.

Next weekends races are the Ras Naoimh Finian in Clonard on Saturday 8th and the Newbridge GP on Sunday 9th.
