Well done to Mossy Keane on a fine performance finishing 6th last Saturday in Killough, Co. Monagahan. This is a sure sign that the winter efforts are beginning to pay off for Mossy and hopefully there will be more good results in the coming weeks and months.

Sunday last the Wheelers were represented in the Kilmessan GP by Charlie Sheridan who rode in the A3 race at the Co. Meath event. Charlie finished comfortably in the bunch and was happy to do so as this is a very challenging route. The big news from this race was the excellent 2nd place taken by Sean Kennedy of the NRPT team. Sean is of course a product of the Wheelers underage system now riding with the youth squad supported by Nicolas Roche. He was just pipped in a two-up sprint but nonetheless this is a fantastic result for the 16 year old in his first year in the Junior ranks. Well done Sean.

National Honours For Caoimhe

There was more good news for the youths this weekend with the announcement that Caoimhe O’Brien has been selected to represent Ireland at the Tour of Scotland Youth Talent Race. This will be staged from the 8th-10th of April and is great testament to the dedication and commitment Caoimhe has shown over the last couple of years. Congratulations Caoimhe and credit also to all her mentors in the Lakeside Wheelers Youth Academy.
