The Youths team has been as successful as it has been busy of late with impressive results in several recent events...

Stephen Roche GP

Aoife O’Brien travelled to Ballinteer on Wednesday evening where she was 1st girl and 5th overall putting it up to the boys in a sprint finish. She was on her bike again on Saturday and headed to Lisburn to compete in the Ulster youth Racing Festival . There were four races, a 250 sprint followed by a TT, then a Crit and finally an elimination race. Aoife powered home in first place in all four races which was another amazing achievement for this young lady who is improving week after week.

Midland League

Conor T Farrell competed in the Kilbeggan leg of the Midland League and after making a break a few kilometres from home he claimed a great victory in the A/B race. Well done Conor on a well timed win, with the Junior Tour not far away your form is coming just at the right time.

Bunclody

After taking time out due to exams John Boyne was back in the saddle and competed in the Noel Redmond memorial race 2018 in Bunclody Co. Wexford along with Aaron Wade who had just returned from Mallorca that morning. John had a very good race and came home with 4th place on a uphill finish in 26 degree heat and over 105km of racing.

Well done to Caoimhe O’Brien who has travelled to Tanzania as a volunteer to assist in project work. We wish Caoimhe every success in this endeavour.

John Boyne receives his prize for a fine fourth place finish in Bunclody.
