Mother's Day Group Cycles

Last Sunday the Sunday morning cyclists awoke to a bright, chilly morning but thankfully no frost. As a result there was a large gathering at the clubhouse with most people happy to get on the road quickly and get home to celebrate the day that was in it with the “Mammy Wheelers”.

The B group led by the “wonderful” Clem Bartley departed for Tullamore via Tyrellspass and Rahugh with the intention of grabbing a warm cuppa and coming home directly. On reaching the Offaly county town there was a quick discussion about maybe lengthening the trip but the ever-prepared Seamus Clarke advised that his trusty smart phone app was saying the rain was on the way, discussion over!

Following a warming coffee and a snack the B’s left for home travelling to Kilbeggan and back to base by the old N52. All home in time for the lads to cook the dinner and a good 70kms in the legs.
