Shannonside cycling club hosted round 4 of the Midland League last Thursday evening on the Castledaly circuit. After a day of severe rain storms it was a miracle the race went ahead at all but luckily the weather cleared just before 6.30pm.
As usual Lakeside Wheelers was well represented in both the A/B and C/D races. The evening proved to be successful for Mossie Keane who benefitted from some strong team work which helped him to claim the top spot on the podium as the B’s held off the chasing A group.
Wheelers also had results from Tosh Kiernan in 3rd, Eoghan Kevlihan 6th while Ian Lambden and Ken Berry rounded out the top ten. Well done to everybody who donned the club colours and hopefully we will have something to celebrate when this popular league race draws to a close.
