Last Sunday both Ian Lambden and Asia Bula travelled to Wexford for the Frank O’Rourke Memorial race which was run off in scorching conditions. Asia claimed her first win of the season with a great performance in the Ladies race while Ian continued his current vein good of form taking 7th place in the A4 event.

Mondello Park Series

Another man who is enjoying a great run of form is Aaron Wade who took a fantastic result in the Mondello Park series last Tuesday evening coming home in 2nd place. This was yet another top class result by Aaron who was up against some of the best senior riders in the country and considering that he is only in his first year at Junior level, this is definitely a standout performance.

Midland League

The 2108 Midland League commenced earlier this month with members participating so far in the opening TT and road races in Castledaly and Birr. To date the Wheelers have not had any results of note but with numbers in depth there will no doubt be podium places in the coming weeks.

Members are reminded that the club is hosting two rounds of this exciting league on May 17th and July 5th so please make note of these dates as Midland League riders will be required to marshal their home races. Please contact Steve Franzoni who is the Wheelers representative on the Midland League committee for more details.
