On Sunday 14th June 2015,David Nolan, Conor Canton and John Donoghue took part in the A4 and A3 races of the Paddy Flanagan Memorial race, David and John taking part in the A4 and Conor in the A3 event. A hundred riders signed on in the A3 race which was contested in brilliant sunshine over six laps of a 14km flat circuit.

David was in a breakaway group which was reeled back in but put in a good solid effort at the front of the bunch pacing it up the hill. The pace was high and David was feeling good for the sprint but unfortunately he ended up getting caught behind two crashes which ended his chances of contesting the sprint. Both John and David finished strongly overall and are in great form.

In the A3 race Conor set off and within the first 8km he was pushing to get in an early break. He and many others were reeled back in quickly with the high pace of the peloton. Eventually a break went clear but Conor wasn't able to bridge the gap over. The break away was eventually reeled in apart from two riders who went on to take the first and second. Eventually Conor placed well and strongly in the sprin,t coming in the top 25. The race averaged 43kph for the two hours of racing.

Very good performances in both A3/A4 races and all lads very strong. Conor is looking im good form for the Junior Tour in July. More racing in Dunboyne next weekend.
