There was a great turnout of Lakeside Wheelers members in Tullamore last Sunday for the annual Pat Colgan memorial cycle in aid of the Irish Kidney Association. This spin caters for riders of all levels and favours those who fancy themselves as “climbers” as it includes two route options which go over the Slieve Blooms.

The 125km route is dubbed the 4 Peak challenge as it brings riders over the Cut, the Wolftrap, Glendine and then back over the reverse side of the Cut. The 95km option includes the first two climbs and with several participants wanting to be home for the Dubs V’s Tyrone game.

Thanks to everybody in Tullamore Cycling and Touring club for a very well organised event and great hospitality.
