On Saturday a contingent of Lakeside Wheelers riders travelled the short distance to Edenderry to take part in the Pat Jones Memorial. On a fine dry day the local “905 Club” put on a great sportive with distances varying from 40kms to 95kms. Thanks to the organisers for a good safe spin and excellent hospitality.
Upcoming Sportive Events
Donadea Wheelers host their sportive next Sunday April 22nd with 60km and 95km options leaving from St Kevin's GAA club in Staplestown. Registration is from 9,00am with the spin starting at 10.30am and cost is 20 Euro.
On Sunday May 6th our near neighbours at Shannonside Cycling Club host their Tour of the Heartlands. This is always an excellent sportive with distances and speeds to suit all riders.
