After the busy schedule of the Leinster T Championships, it was back to more routine matters this week. On Thursday evening last, five of the youth riders took part in the Midland League hosted by Lakeside Wheelers. The fact that this number took part shows the progress these riders are making. Aaron Wade rode in the A category race and finished in an excellent fourth place.

On Sunday 3 riders headed to Emyvale. Aoife and Caoimhe took first place in their category with Aaron Wade also among the prize-winners.

On Wednesday afternoon/evening seven U16/Junior riders undertook lactate testing in the clubhouse. The tests were carried out by A1 coaching. This is the start of a coaching programme which will assist the junior riders and hopefully help develop their racing skills and apply more focused training methods. The program will help the riders identify their strengths and weaknesses with a view to implementing a training regime that will that help them improve. The overall goal is to prepare the younger members for junior and post junior ranks.
