Pink Ribbon Tour

The first week in September was, for many years synonymous amongst Lakeside Wheelers members as the week of the Into the West Charity Cycle organised by our own Joe Duffy. Well, after a few years on the Race the Ras wagon, Joe is now at the helm of a new charity event known as the Pink Ribbon Tour.
The three days will include a total of 380kms cycling and incorporate the Old Rail Trail from Athlone to Mullingar on the final day.
The Pink Ribbon tour is a new three-day charity sportive in aid of the National Breast Cancer Research Institute. This new cycle will depart Mullingar on Friday 7th September, bringing the riders across the Sleive Bloom Mountains en route to Limerick.
Day two sees the peloton ride from Limerick to Kinvara in Co. Galway while day three will sees the riders return to from Kinvara to Mullingar.
