Ras Tailteann2022

Westmeath hosted stages 4 and 5 of the 2022 version of Ras Tailteann. These stages were hosted by Lakeside Wheelers and Esker Cycling Club. Picture shows Lakeside Wheelers President Shay O’Toole presenting Matteo Cigala form Italy with his prize after finishing 3^rd in Stage 4. Lakeside Wheelers would like to thank the very generous financial donation made by Westmeath County Council which facilitated us hosting this prestigious stage of RAS Tailteann 2022.

C Group Notes

13 C riders assembled at HQ for their weekly spin. Unfortunately, we assembled outside as the Columb barracks were shut. We headed out the ring road and across the Joe Dolan bridge and out the N4. At Dalystown we turned right for Kilbeggan. From there we headed for Clara. Shortly before Clara we turned right through some undulating boreens to arrive on the Clara to Tullamore road. We took our pitstop in Tullamore, then headed for Rahugh into Tyrrellspass and on back to HQ. Over 80 kms on the clock. Many thanks to our group leader Ulrika for a very enjoyable route.
