(By Shay O'Toole - Sun. 7th October 2018)
Whilst September was a “non-active” month on the road for the Youths there was some activity on the Junior front.

Conor T. Farrell competed in the Charleville 2-Day and came away with a 16th place overall. The final stage proved to be a fruitful stage for Conor as he moved up significantly on GC with the help of two hill climbs which suit his racing style.

Aoife O'Brien - Gold Medalist.
The Leinster Track championship took place on 22nd September and Lakeside were represented by Caoimhe and Aoife O’Brien in the Youths category. Aoife took home a gold medal in the 250TT with Caoimhe taking silver in the 500TT race.

Our winter program resumed on 26th September at in the clubhouse. New members are very welcome so, if you have an interest in cycling in any format or, are curious to see what it involves, please come along.

Well done to former Lakeside Wheelers member, Aaron Wade who finished 4th on GC in the Charleville 2-Day and achieved two 7th placings in the three stage event. Aaron also struck gold in the Leinster Junior 500TT track championship with his time good enough to earn him second place in the senior rankings.
