Ken Berry elevated to Category 3
With 84km on the card for all A3 and A4 riders and 120 km for A1 and A2, the Meath GP is a real test for riders. It is an extremely challenging circuit, but the weather was perfect for good racing on Sunday last.

We had a good turnout in all races, with one significant result. Ken Berry achieved his goal of being upgraded to A3 following two 6th place finishes over the weekend. Firstly a fine result on a though circuit on Saturday in Roundwood followed here by a superb breakaway ride on the mentioned Meath. Ken has rekindled his good form of last year having scored 8 points and he deservedly got his 2 points this weekend with a wonderful 9 man break 60km from home. Congratulations Ken. Looks like we will have a team now for August's Ballinrobe stage event!

Quick mention for the ole veteran Charlie Sheridan who also scored two 7th positions at the weekend in both races and should be a strong contender for our upcoming A4 stage race here in Mullingar with his good form. Keep up the good racing lads!
