Damien ShawHaving just completed his second training camp in Calpe, Spain, Damien Shaw is nearing his professional debut for the Irish registered An Post-Chainreaction Sean Kelly Cycling Team. This camp also included the official team launch for the 2016 season and saw Shaw featuring very prominently in all photos and videos, proudly wearing his National Champions kit.

Following this 15 day camp there are clear indications that the honorary Lakeside Wheelers man will be thrown in at the deep end with his name included on the team to participate in one of the earliest stage races of the season. The Etoile de Besseges gets under way on Wednesday, Feb 3rd and the Irish road Champion will no doubt be raring to go for this gruelling 5 day race in the South of France.

We wish Damien all the best as he sets out on this exciting phase of his career and it is hoped to provide regular updates of his progress throughout the coming year in these notes.
