Blackwater Park in Navan was the place to be last Sunday for all Cyclocross fans as the Leinster Championships were staged by Navan Cycling Club. Lakeside Wheelers were well represented and those racing managed to get in the frame in two events.

In the Junior Ladies race Caoimhe O’Brien rode a fine race to claim 2nd place from her Orwell Wheelers rival. This will surely cap off what has been an amazing year for Caoimhe across all cycling disciplines.

In the Junior Men’s event Ian Lambden continued his impressive progression by claiming 2nd place from the winner, Hugh Brennan of the Sundrive Track Team. Once again, this will rank high in Ian’s year and hopefully spur him on to gain more success in 2017.

In the senior Ladies race Asia Bula once again rode an excellent race to finish 5th overall. Well done to all Wheelers who competed.
