Eight  Lakeside Wheelers bravely rode the Four Peak 125 km Pat Colgan challenge earlier today. Three further Wheelers more sensibly participated in the 2 peak 95 km version. Gorgeous weather made this a very enjoyable event with glorious views from the top of the Sliabh Blooms.

The climbs of course were tough, especially in the warm and almost windless weather. The Tullamore Cycling Club put on a very well organised event with a great food stops and used the fabulous facilities at Tullamore Harriers as a great event HQ.

All the Wheelers enjoyed the event even if one of the more elderly members was complaining of cramp and lack of match practice by the time he eventually finished!
