With the pinnacle of the 2010 season happening last weekend with the Into the West spin many riders took a very deserved break from the bike this weekend. The weather probably didn't help but it was very mild.
The B and C group joined forces with Arthur and myself leading out a group of 13 cyclists. George took a group of beginners and we all headed in the same direction converging on the Grand Hotel in Moate within 5 minutes of each other. We had arrived there via Dysart and Streamstown and the pace was a small bit more relaxed than normal which is ideal as at this time of year all cyclists should be just spinning the legs.
The A group even made an appearance in Moate but I don't think there was enough room in the coffee shop for all. On the way back the pace increased with the up and over limited to 1 minute per person nobody minded going to the front and the pace was steady. We arrived back at the ORS with everyone in good shape and well satisfied.
