An 11 strong A group headed for the Hills of North County Longford travelling, Multyfarnham, Coole, Granard, right in Granard onto the Ballinalee Road. The promised showers did not materialise and we made our way like spring lambs over the rolling hills.

Outside Ballinalee we turned right and then left to the 4 km climb to the top of Cairn Hill. We stopped at the entrance to the mast for a photo. We checked out the coffee in Esso Longford before taking the more direct route home. With the hilly route beginning to take its toll we had a good steady pace back home until Bun Brosna. With the Tour de France coverage still fresh in people minds there were injections of pace and cagey looks.

107km later we arrived back into ORS happy with the testing spin.
