Last Saturday's race was in Mount Nugent and a good group of Wheelers headed over. The race circuit was flat and fast and the A4 and A3 groups were soon caught by the A1 A2 bunch which Stuey and Peter Rimmer were riding in. Stuey is very keen to gain points and move up to the A1’s and he did a great job towards achieving this on Saturday.
A break group of 4 was soon established, the move made by Craig Sweetman from Stamullen, Stuey saw the jump going away and joined them.  “The 4 of us rode really hard up every drag and took it a little easier on the flats and we soon got a big gap. Coming into the finish I got a bit excited and to be honest I jumped to soon, should have stayed on Craig’s wheel as he is always the man for a sprint! Still I’m happy to have been in the break and happy with third.”

Well done to Stuey and I have unconfirmed reports that Ken Berry finished in the bunch as first A4 followed by Damien O’Brien who was expertly led out by Peter Rimmer.
