Special General Meeting Thursday to Ratify Constitution

posted 7 Mar 2011, 14:29 by Kevin Monaghan
Next Thursday, March 10th, lakeside Wheelers will host their first ever Special General Meeting (SGM) in The Annebroook Hotel at 8pm to ratify their first ever club constitution.

This historic project commenced last year when the committee asked a working group to set about researching the whole area around a club constitution. This working group consisted of club secretary, Carmel Buckley, founder member, Mick Reynolds and club member, Liz Hoctor. After trawling through various other sports clubs constitutions, having numerous meetings and brainstorming sessions and having consulted with some external specialist agencies we are now in a position to put the finished product to you, the members, to vote.

By now you should all have received a copy of the proposed constitution via email, we urge you to read this carefully and then please turn up next Thursday night for the SGM as this is a watershed in our club’s development and will define how we are to be structured and how we manage club affairs for several years to come.
