Early Saturday morning looked very inviting for our regular spin.  By 9 o'clock however it was not too inviting for the group. On arrival at the Barracks 9 other like minded members had turned up and we initially thought a short distance was the order of the day.

We set off in the direction of the Old Rail Trail, reviewing the route as we progressed. On arrival in Castletown we decided to make our way to Kilbeggan and the Distillery was a welcome stop for the morning coffee/tea.

After a well deserved break the group headed on to Raheenmore on the trip back to town. Shortly after Dalystown the dreaded puncture gremlin struck and Pat was the unfortunate cyclist this week. Repairs were swift and it was not too long before we were back on the road. The group arrived back at the Barracks having covered 52km.

Looking forward to seeing all of the group next week.
