![]() Peter raced in Otterspool in what was a large field of over 100 racers. The race format was fairly similar although Peter described the start line being a bit more hectic than he was used to. The race was going well until Peter was unlucky to get a mechanical and his back wheel literally fell off. “It was really annoying I was going well and the gears got stuck at the back and somehow the wheel came out. It took me a couple of minutes to get it back in and I lost quite a few places. When I had the wheel back on I pedalled like mad and went past most of them again. I finished inside the top 30 so I was happy, not bad” The next day Peter took the bike out with Ormskirk cycling club for a leisurely ride with their B group - to spin the legs out. – Well done Peter a fantastic result. |
