News for Underage Members

posted 9 Jun 2010, 01:31 by Kevin Monaghan
Underage racing to set to continue in Dysart and the next race will take place on Thursday the 10th at 6.30 for 11yrs and up.

The last race was a huge success and all really seemed to enjoy it.

Following on from last year's hugely successful Monday evening cycles we are due to kick back again into action. The first underage cycle for all ages takes place next Monday 14th June at 6.30 in Belvedere. This cycle is part of the calender for National Bike Week and also destination Sports Mullingar so we are expecting lots of kids and adult helpers to come along to take part and also help. If parents can also bring along their bikes it would be a great help. The plan is that the older kids who have been cycling on  Saturday mornings and racing on a Thursday evenings will be doing their training on their roads bikes. For all the other kids mountain bikes etc will be ideal.

DONT FORGET THE HELMETS AND MAKE SURE ALL BRAKES ARE WORKING

A few families have mentioned that at times cycling on the grass was a little bit difficult for some of the younger kiddies so at the moment the committee is busy trying to source an alternative location for the underage cycles. So the first one will be at Belvedere - after that we will be announcing a new location, so keep an eye out on your emails and on the website for further information in the next few weeks.
