Lakeside Wheelers Well Represented in Meath Races

posted 7 Mar 2011, 14:02 by Kevin Monaghan
The racing calendar got underway this weekend with the Michael Lally Memorial race in Summerhill on Saturday and the Cycleways Cup in Navan on Sunday. As usual there was a large contingent of Lakeside Wheelers riders involved but unfortunately I have no reports as yet. For information on how the Wheelers fared, log onto the Club Forum where Dave Fagan will be posting his weekly reports.

I have been in touch with Damien Shaw who as we all know is away in Italy representing Ireland and Lakeside Wheelers at the World Paralympics Track Championships. Damien tells me that the times himself and his partner Andy are setting are improving almost daily so we hold out great hopes for them on the 12th and 13th of March when competition kicks off. By all accounts the hotel and food are top class too, so well done to Cycling Ireland on that. We will have more detailed updates on Damien and Andy’s progress and hopefully some photos in the next few weeks.
