Karl Moran takes the win in Abbeyshrule!

Well done to Karl on his first big win of the year in the midlands league race held in Abbeyshrule. Karl got into a break with another rider from the Shannonside team, both of which worked really hard to keep the time gap to over a minute. JP Kilmurray was back in the main bunch and said that even though the group were working there was no way the break was being brought back in.

I spoke to Karl during Sunday’s club B spin and asked him about the big win. “We worked really hard both doing our turns so it was anyone’s race to take in the sprint. Shannonside jumped with about 500 metre’s to go and I changed the gears and got his on his wheel without too much trouble. I knew I could take it from there and just waited and made my move, a satisfying feeling I really like a good sprint!!”

Again congratulations to Karl and I’m sure the first of many good results!
