Sunday last 3rd November saw the annual Lakeside Wheelers Club Hill climb take place on Gneevebawn Hill between Rochfortbridge & Tyrrellspass, totalling 3km in distance. A hill climb is basically a short time trial which finishes on top o a hill. Conditions were perfect on the morning, well apart from the strong wind that was blowing directly into the faces of the competitors!

As is the norm with the hill climb all groups meet up at the ORS car park as usual and made their way to Rochfortbridge to Bagnall's car park for sign on.  My A group headed for Cloughan, Killucan and on to Kinnegad via a slight detour on roads where I spent many a summer when I was younger in holidays in my Granny’s. From Kinnegad we headed to Rochfortbridge through Milltownpass.

After signing on and posing for a quick snap, all the riders made their way to the start line just outside Rochfortbridge. Each rider was set off at one minute intervals. Well done to everybody who took part. Results and prizes will be given out at the Christmas party in a few weeks.
Thanks also to everybody who helped out on the morning, without your help these events wouldn’t happen!
