Great news coming through from Donegal where a five-strong lakeside Wheelers are competing in the 2011 Ras Dhun Na nGall.

Damien Shaw and John Murray took first and second on Friday evening, having broken away from the field on the first climb on the outskirts of Ardara and remained clear of the field for the rest of the stage.

Damien pulled away in the final kilometres Shaw to take the stage with a half minute gap.   John Murray held off the peleton to claim second place.

Damien was in fine form again on stage two this morning on the short but tough 2 mile time trial on Glengisk mountain.   He once demonstrated his strength by taking the stage with 20 seconds to spare over 2nd place.

Well done to Damien, John and the rest of the Lakeside Wheelers team and let's hope Damien can hold onto his lead over the remaining tough stages.
