(By Steven Franzoni) The Cyclo Cross season is now drawing to a close and the Mullingar crew have been achieving some success. If you haven't heard of Cyclo Cross racing it involves racing around parks, forest and some sections of tarmac for up to an hour of very intense action (pure hardship) with some running. We have been racing North and South of the border for the last two months in all kinds of conditions. Of note we have had a total of six podiums over the weeks. The most consistent rider being Michelle O'Halloran who has had a second and third, Sonja O'Mahony managed a third place in her first race. ![]() As the season begins to wind down the national championships in the new year is the last goal and surely the girls and David Boyne could be in contention for medals the way they have been riding.
