B Group Update

With the weather still holding up about 60 wheelers congregated at the ORS for the Sunday spin. As usual the B's had enough present for a Fast B and Regular B group. With everyone in the B Group getting very fit the average speed of even the regular B's has climbed steadily over the last few months.

There was a very strong easterly wind and we decided to head on the usual route to Killucan, Ballivor. From there we varied it and headed to Trim where we had a leisurely break which was welcomed after a hard struggle all the way into the wind. Onwards to Athboy and on to Delvin. I wondered why we didn't come this way more often and I was reminded why with heavy N52 traffic on a very twisty road. After Delvin we took a detour and came cross country via Raharney and Killucan on more scenic quiet roads. With a tail wind home the speed wound up to 40+ kph with everybody feeling good.

After a tricky dual carriageway crossing at the Downs we arrived home safe, sound and satisfied with 90km in the legs. Just to remind all that the Wednesday evening spin has moved back to 6.30pm from this Wednesday so no excuses!
