With everyone getting fitter as the season progresses a lot of C riders have moved up to the B's with a resulting 45 plus riders presenting themselves for duty. Frank Morgan took the fast B's while Joe Duffy and myself took the regular B's. With a light SW wind it was decided to stay away from the regular Tullamore direction and head out on what is known as the "Hilly 50" which takes in some of the more scenic side roads in the county and it's fair share of undulating terrain. Killucan,Raharney, Drumcree, Collinstown and on to Castlepollard (via a gem of a detour) completed the 1st leg.

We coffeed at Moran's Garage on the Collinstown Road and basked in the sunshine and somewhat reluntantly left on the 2nd leg. We headed on to Coole then came around by the back of the Tullynally Estate and took the high road to Whitehall. To everybodys surprise we again detoured up a narrow road to get in another climb or two and arrived over to Crazy Corner in good shape. Onward once more on undulating terrain until Rathconnell Hill appeared in sight to which a few of the riders said "Now I know where we are". It was only a short spin back to the ORS on a day that  ou wonder with that weather why another would want to live anywhere else. We were unlucky to pick up 3 punctures today the most notable one relating to a "damsel in distress" who requested assistance to change the tyre as she had only got her nails done the previous day! She shall remain  nameless. Next week is Sligo and by all accounts everyone is in top shape so bring it on.
