Balbriggan proved to be a very testing course as usual with over 300m of climbing in each lap. Our A4s took off with 2 laps to complete, however, a breakaway of 8 stayed away till the very line from the chasing group containing 2 Wheelers - Matt Burke and Eoghan Kevlihan - but the line came too quickly.

However, again Peter Rimmer and Damien Shaw proved their class with Damien and eventual winner Armstrong, making all the moves in the A1/2 race. Damien had a spill in the last 15km and this proved to be his downfall but he still managed to hold onto 5th place. This was severe bad luck as it looked like it could have been his first victory this year, when both lads had a 40 second gap with one lap of 5 remaining. Peter again came good in the A2 cat and scored more well done lads. Also big thanks to John Tully and Billy Cunnane for their excellent support in the team car in the race.
