(By Mark Horohoe) The Sunday spin of Week 3 in the A groups Winter Training program was lucky to enjoy weather conditions that were better than the conditions we endured during most of “the summer”. It was a real treat for anyone who was out on the bike today, it even made the newly fitted mudguards look out of place. With very little wind we headed for a target of 100 steady kms towards Rathowen on the N4, right for Streete, Lisryan and in to Granard then out the Ballinalee road for a few km before taking a left on back roads to Edgeworthstown, Carrickboy, Tashinny, Colehill, Ballynacarrigy and home. See the route at: www.mapmyride.com/routes/fullscreen/56702908/ The A-group welcomed Gareth Butler and Jimmy O’Connor who were giving the spin a go. Hope you enjoyed the spin. I hope Sundays weather is sign of the winter weather to come. Mark Horohoe. ![]() Dermot Reynolds, Gareth Butler, Robbie Kenny and Charlie Sheridan enjoy the sun at the tea-break |
