2015/2016 Cyclo-Cross Programme

Cyclo-cross or CX is a fun form of bicycle racing which typically takes place in the autumn and winter. Generally it consists of many laps of a short course featuring various surfaces and obstacles which often require the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike while navigating the obstruction and remount. CX specific or Mountain bikes can be used.
Over the last two years several members of Lakeside Wheelers have attended many CX events around the country and last winter the club staged a series of local races in St Loman's football club which were fantastic fun and attracted great numbers.

Due to the success of these events the organisers have scheduled a full programme of CX events for the coming months which is outlined below so if you have attended CX before make sure get stuck in again. If you have never tried CX then why not give this very exciting sport a try over the coming weeks. There will be events for all age groups from Under 6 to Under U16 so this can be a true family occasion. The first event is this Sunday, 1st November in Ladestown.
