Event Sponsors

National Championships BannerOrganising an event such as the National Cycling Championships requires a great deal of commitment and dedication from the host club and without doubt, staging this year's Championships is by far the biggest task undertaken by Lakeside Wheelers Mullingar since its formation. The entire membership of Ireland's biggest cycling club will be on hand to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible for the time trial on June 26th and Road Races on June 28th and 29th.

However, as many of you are aware it is practically impossible to make any progress without financial backing and in these testing times it is even more difficult to secure this help.  As early as January 2014 the organisers of this year's race approached some local businesses for funding to ensure this prestigious sporting occasion, which would see some of the world's best riders competing on our doorstep was promoted to the best of our ability.

Our title sponsors, Grange Motors Toyota Mullingar and Toyota Ireland came on board almost immediately which was not surprising as they have very kindly been supporting Lakeside Wheelers and cycle racing in Mullingar for several years and it was only fitting that this partnership continued.

In addition, we are also very grateful to our two secondary sponsors, Mullingar Credit Union and Green Farm Foods who have also joined the team to help us make the 2014 National Cycling Championships in Mullingar the best to date.
