Why & when did you take up cycling?
I was a member of Mullingar harriers for years and had to stop running this time last year due to injury. I then decided to take up cycling as it didn't affect my back injury.  My first ever cycling event was the Tour of Burren and I was bitten by the bug after that.
No of hours training during week?
I train 8-10 hours a week, it depends on my schedule as I work full time and am a mother to 2 young children.
Best & worst cycling moment?
Its been a really good year so far having placed 2nd & 3rd in two recent Ladies races.  The highlight of the year was being selected for the Leinster Squad and we raced in the Bedford 3 day, it was an unbelievable experience that I thoroughly enjoyed.

My worst moment was crashing in a race earlier this year in Slane however it didn't put me off and I was back on the bike a few days later cycling for the launch of the Nationals.
It has been a very steep learning curve over the past 12 months but I am enjoying my new sport and I look forward to competing in the National Championships.
