Welcome to the Mountain Biking section of the Lakeside Wheelers website.  Mountain biking is growing in popularity generally and is becoming a significant activity in the club also.  The club has a number MTB specialists who've been competing at a high level in mountain bike races and the more extreme downhill events.

 

Here, we'll keep you up to date on the Mountain Biking scene both competitive and more leisurely events.

 

Our Mountain Bike (MTB) officer, Richie Lenihan has scheduled the first of the 2011 summer MTB spins for this evening May 17th and all members should have recieved a club text regarding this new venture. Richie tells me that it will be a very relaxed start with a handy run along local off-road tracks, however, he has more testing spins in the pipeline so for all Wheelers who are fond of the dirt, this is your chance to get out and stretch the legs. Details of future MTB spins will be available shortly via club notes, website, text and forum.
