Learner WheelerSecond Beginners' Cycle
This Saturday (24th March) sees the second spin of our five week beginners introductory programme. It will take place from the usual place, ORS Car-park opposite Mullingar Park Hotel, at 9:00 a.m. Don’t worry if you missed the first week you can still come along and join in, all that is required is a roadworthy bicycle & a helmet. A bottle of water and something to eat (cereal bar or a banana is perfect) is also recommended. For more information you can contact me (Mark Monaghan) by email at pro@lakesidewheelers.ie or on (086) 2235917.

Original Post (27th February)
Calling all potential Lakeside Learner Cyclists out there! Lakeside Wheelers is proud to announce that it will be launching a new Beginners Introductory Programme starting on 10th March 2012. The idea behind this programme is to encourage and help those who are new to cycling with the view in joining Lakeside Wheelers.

The programme will consist of five weeks teaching the basics in cycling from cycling in a group, safety, bike care, nutrition and what to wear.  Each week there will be a chat one of these points by the two experienced Group Leaders, (one male and one female).

This will be an adult’s only group and it is requested that anybody attending would have a bike of roadworthy standard (it doesn’t have to be a racing bike), a helmet and a drinks bottle. The speed and the distance will be dictated by the person slowest in the group and nobody will be left behind on the road. This would be ideal preparation for anybody taking part in either of the Spring Spin cycles in April.
If you are interested in taking part please contact Mark Monaghan on (086) 2235917 or by email on pro@lakesidewheelers.ie.
