As I arrived for the A group spin on Sunday morning, I was greeted by three other riders - Mick Reynolds, PJ Carey and Seamus Killian.  We waited for anyone else who might arrive but it remained the four of us so we set out for Moate going through Rosemount then on to Clara and had the tea stop in Tullamore.

After the stop we headed home via Kilbeggan. Unfortunately, outside Kilbeggan I suffered a puncture but thanks to Mick we where very quickly back on the road again. We decided to turn left in Kilbeggan and take the old road to Wallace's pub.  Once we got on to the N52 the pace shot up with Seamus making a break which was closed down by myself, closely followed by Mick.  The finish line came into sight and it was a sprint finish between Mick and I with me narrowly beating Mick.

We arrived home with 95k in the legs with an average speed of 35 km/h. We had great craic along the way and hopefully the numbers will be bigger next week.
