With a team of racers heading to the Nenagh Classic, the numbers were down in the A Group this morning. Nonetheless we had a 12 strong group rolling out of from the ORS. With strong easterly winds for company we made our way towards Killucan and on to Ballivor. The pace was kept steady all along into the headwind until we decided to put in a few short efforts to keep everyone honest between Ballivor and Summerhill.

From there we made our way on to Enfield with yet more catch-me-if-you-can efforts from a few of the lads. Before long we hit Enfield for coffee and refreshments.  With strong easterly wind now on our backs, a certain rider seized his opportunity and sneaked off, leaving the rest of us unaware apart maybe for one other who knew what had happened, who in turn, took off in pursuit, never to be seen again until we arrived home. The rest of us tried in earnest to bridge the gap but to no avail and soon the group split coming out of Kinnegad. All home safe & sound with some very good fast miles in the legs.
