The group today would be traveling towards Co.Offaly. Although we hadn’t to negotiate the mountains the pro teams of the Giro, there were still a few hills to climb. The route brought us through Killucan, Kinnegad, where we nearly took leave of PJ Carey as he headed for the M4 motorway! On we rolled through Edenderry, and on to Daingean for a quick refreshment stop. The homeward leg brought us through Croghan, Tyrrellspass, Rochfortbridge, and with the pace pushing this cyclist very close to the red, we kept the group together to the end. Just to let Steve Franzoni know your Specialized bike is in good hands with its new owner, and is obviously used to sprinting home in first place. Yet another Dan to keep an eye on in the Wheelers.
